I've just upgraded from v6.x to 07.01.00 and I've run into this issue.

I've tried the fixes listed in this post but none of them resolve the issue for me.

Any recommendation on other things to try?

Ends up that this appears to be caused by the jquery version specified in "Use Hosted jQuery Version?" which points to: https://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.6.4/jquery.min.js

Once this was deselected, then everything started working correctly.

Does anyone have a better URL for this?

I wan't suggest to disable the 'Use Hosted jQuery' and use the Version shiped with DNN. Be aware changing the jQuery could effect Skins and modules.

The query I listed was the default from the original installation. I never changed it.
Deselecting that was the only way to get the edit functionality working.

Do you have an updated URL for this so I can turn it back on without breaking the edit feature?

There is no other URL needed.  Uncheck the 'Use Hosted jQuery' Checkbox in the Host Settings, will load the jQuery and jQueryUI shipped with the DNN instance.  This can have effects to your Skin and modules, if they not compatible with the new jQuery versions.
