Ran a SQL trace, then the tuning wizard which gave a bunch of indexes to create; our admin wanted to make sure this will not impact our ability to smoothly upgrade. I find it hard to believe, but wanted to double check with more experienced DNN users.

So, will creating indexes cause trouble upgrading/patching DNN?

P.S. we are currently on 5.x looking at 6.1 or maybe 7

 Thanks in advance,

As a rule - adding indexes should not impact system updates. The only time there tends to be a problem is if you are adding constraint rules that prevent dnn from doing updates to the sql database. You may however need to redo your index changes after any dnn upgrade since upgrades sometimes drop and re-add tables etcWesta
