I just upgraded a site from 6.2.4 to 7.0.0 and now all that appears on the site is the banner, the words "DOTNETNUKE ERROR" and a button that says "Return to site". There is no login, there is ability to login, there is no other body of the homepage. there is nothing. How do I even get started to debug this?

To get a little more detail, I went through SPL Server directly to the EventsLog table. The entry says: DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.PageLoadException: '~/Telerik.Web.UI.WebResource.axd' is missing in web.config. RadStyleSheetManager requires a HttpHandler registration in web.config. Please, use the control Smart Tag to add the handler automatically, or see the help for more information: Controls > RadStyleSheetManager ---> System.InvalidOperationException: '~/Telerik.Web.UI.WebResource.axd' is missing in web.config. RadStyleSheetManager requires a HttpHandler registration in web.config. Please, use the control Smart Tag to add the handler automatically, or see the help for more information: Controls > RadStyleSheetManager at Telerik.Web.UI.RadStyleSheetManager.OnPreRender(EventArgs e) at System.Web.UI.Control.PreRenderRecursiveInternal() at System.Web.UI.Control.PreRenderRecursiveInternal() at System.Web.UI.Control.PreRenderRecursiveInternal() at System.Web.UI.Control.PreRenderRecursiveInternal() at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---
I guess the problem is now, What is it that I have to add to the web.config? Seeing "~/Telerik.Web.UI.WebResource.axd' " Doesn't really help me.

Hi Art, I've experienced a similar issue with upgrading specifically. Running 7.0 as a fresh install works just fine, when upgrading off 6.2 is where the site gives errors, runs slow and kills the application pool. Tried with a couple fresh upgrades with the same results.

Ok, well. This was fairly fast to resolve. Here's the key article. http://bradkingsley.com/resolving-the...

The basic fix was to set the .NET 4.0 application from Integrated Pipeline to Classic. All was fixed then. Hope this helps someone else with their upgrades.
