Hello,

I'm getting this error when I try to install DNN7:

HTTP Error 500.21 - Internal Server Error

Handler "ExtensionlessUrl-Integrated-4.0" has a bad module "ManagedPipelineHandler" in its module list

I'm running IIS 7.5 with .Net 4 framework on Win 7, with an integrated pipeline. I'm not an old hand at this by any stretch, so if anyone has any ideas on what to do to fix this, please give me steps to follow. Thanks.

Unfortunately, no. That was a good try, though, Andrew.

I went through the application host file for my IIS installation (it turns out I had two of them: one in a conifg folder, the other in a folder called "config-20120817233436") and I found they were initiating both 32- and 64-bit IIS. So I commented out the lines that trigger the 32-bit as that post mentioned, but the error persists.

Any other ideas?

It could also be related to a failed install of the .net framework:

Had same thing. Just resolved it. Go to Control Panel -> Programs -> Turn Windows Features on or off. There to Internet Information Services -> World Wide Web Services -> Application Development Features and check the checkbox near ASP.NET 4.5. (Solution is for Windows 8).
