Hi everyone, I am configuring and testing a new Dotnetnuke 7 installation on my website.  Right now everything is working pretty well.  I just have one thing that I can not figure out.

When I do a test user registration, the system sends me a confirmation email that comes from "host@change.me".  I can not figure out where in the settings I can change that. It also generates an email from the same address when I approve the account for access.

It is also the default from address in the newsletters section. Is it possible to have a default "from" email put in the newsletter composition? I would prefer it to be a different email address than just the admin account address (which I did change).

I have looked through a lot of the settings, and I can not seem to find anything. I tried changing the SMTP setting to do basic authentication with the email address I want the site to use and it still sends from "host@change.me"

Thanks in advance for your help!

Jeff

Usually that is the host email account.  You can change this in your profile for the host user account.

Hi jeff
Newsletter module will fetch the login users email address and use that as the from email address.

Thanks,

Thanks!  I had to "restart" the application for the change to take effect.  Not sure if that indeed was what fixed it.  I changed the email address but until I did that restart command in the control panel, it did not change.

I was initially confused because I changed the "host" account username to "admin".  But I soon figured it out, but was just confused when the from email address would not change.

Thanks,
Jeff
