Hi all,

I have 2 DNN sites I need to move, each site is on it's own domain name. The Domains and sites are with a hosting company called Arvixe. Recently they did a Black Friday sale and I have an account with them that has 50% off for life. My problem is I already had an account with them that held my 2 sites and I now need to move them over to the new hosting.

I have already had Arvixe move the databases over as my original Arvixe account was using SQL 2008 but the new one is using SQL 2012. I thought that to moves the sites and domains would be a simple task and here is what I did.

  1. On my original account I stopped the sites in the hosting control panel
  2. Disabled the DNS entiries
  3. Backed up all the files for each website

On the new account this is what I have done

  1. Created the Database account for each site with the same names and passwords
  2. Associated the correct account with the correct database
  3. Created new top level domains with the same names as the old ones and got the control panel to create the website and enable DNS (Creating teh website only puts a www folder in as far as I can tell)
  4. Removed the www folder and copied the files over to the domain name folder just created
  5. Edit the web.config file to point the database to the new server

Tried to access the site and nothing. Can someone please tell me what I have missed
Thanks

Can you elaborate on "nothing"? What happens when you attemtp to load the site? Do you get an error? If so, please post it.
