I'm new enough to .NET and C# that I can't yet DEBUG in it...

But I can compile a SYSTEM.DELAY (45000) statement at appropriate places and notice the subsequent delay.

So yes, it does look like the VIEW.ASCX.CS file is being accessed, at least.

I'll let you know further as I figure it out.

This video from DNN Hero may help get you started in debugging your DNN module:

Hey, Bill...

I tried using the DOTNETNUKE HERO video you sent, but I'm using VS 12 Web Developer (VS 11), and it doesn't have the "attach to process" option that the guy doing the video used.

I'll keep plugging.

The questions I have now are the following:

1.  Back at the HOST > Extensions > TASKMANAGER entree where we can look at the module settings for the EDIT.ASCX, VIEW.ASCX, and SETTINGS.ASCX files, are they all supposed to be the same, or is one of them (and which one) supposed to be "blanked out" ???

2. As far as the EDIT.ASCX.RESX and VIEW.ASCX.RESX files go, are they playing into this situation, and, if so, exactly how are they supposed to be set up ???

3.  Do the "module settings" in TASKMANAGER.DNN affect this situation at all, and, if so, how ???

Bill, as I leave off for the day it looks like I've narrowed the problem down to be the LOAD routine in the EDIT screen (not the VIEW screen).

I'll give you more information as I get it.
