Hello, all...
I am still hung up on the EDIT and VIEW modules and their presentation (and lack thereof).
Even though I've coded for both, I've only seen so far the EDIT module; I've not yet seen the VIEW module, nor have I seen any of its functions (EDIT, DELETE, etc).
The best I've seen is that, when I alter the TASKMANAGER EXTENSION in the EXTENSIONS page by blanking out the EDIT and CONTENT sections of the EDIT control key, the EDIT MODULE (but never the VIEW MODULE) will appear on the TASKMANAGER page and is proportioned well. Otherwise, I can only get at the EDIT MODULE (but never the VIEW MODULE) by clicking on the MANAGER button on the TASKMANAGER page, then selecting EDIT CONTENT. That gives me a malformed (but useable) presentation of the EDIT screen. I've not yet seen hide nor hare of the VIEW MODULE.
Two questions:
1. Should I be going at this problem by altering the control keys for EDIT, VIEW and SETTINGS in the "module settings" of the TASKMANAGER extension ??? If so, someone please tell me how to do it and give me an example; if not, please tell me so.
2. Should I be going at this problem by altering the contents of the EDIT.ASCX.RESX and/or VIEW.ASCX.RESX files ??? If so, someone please tell me how to do so and give me an example; if not, please tell me so.
Again, what I am seeking is for the EDIT and VIEW modules to display in turn, one after the other, like they do in Chris's videos.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP. I've received some help on this so far, and it's my fault alone that I haven't made any progress so far.
