I have uninstalled Active Social (AS) from my website, however, the roles created by the AS groups remain. I have been trying to delete the roles (20-30 roles) but keep getting the error because most of the users belong to those roles.

Is there a easy way other to remove the role from the member's account in bulk and then delete the roles? I have 7000 members and each one of them belonged/belong to more than 1-2 group/role.

So I am looking for a script something like this "remove user=all or * from role id="role id #." Obviously this is just an example. So if there is a script with which I can achieve my goal please share or direct me to the source.

If the script works and it removes all users from that role, I will be able to delete that role and shorten the long list of roles created by AS I have on my website.

Thank you.

Something like this :

exec sp_droprolemember [rolename], [username]

However, this only removes a specific user from a specific role. How do I make the specific username to all?

Thanks.
