Hi,

I am working on learning how to create new modules in DNN. I am following this tutorial and am using the template located here,

http://christoctemplate.codeplex.com/downloads/get/477319

The tutorial directs me to create a new VS 2010 project located on my local drive c:\websites\dnndev\desktopmodules

I attempt to create this new project but get the following error

"The Web Application Project module is configured to use IIS. The Web server 'http://dnndev/desktopmodules/module/' could not be found."

I have followed the prerequisite tutorial videos several times to verify that my project/file system is set up properly.

How can I remedy this problem?

Thanks,

Bryan

you need your IIS website pointing to the root of your DNN install directory.

Thank you for your reply but IIS is already pointing to the root of my DNN install

c:\websites\dnndev

This holds all the files from the DNN 7.0 Install that I downloaded.

Make sure of the following.

1) That you run Visual Studio as an Administrator (right click when you click on the icon)
2) That you have a host header added in IIS for DNNDEV.
