I upgraded to dnn 7 from 6.2.4, and AF 5.0.1 is broken with:

1. cannot change security settings

2. Moderator approval is not working.

please clear local browser cache and cookies.
If this doesn't help, please switch control panel to "RibbonBar" in Host Settings.
Another option worth trying is using default skin and container on your AF page (in page settings)

I believe this is because AF 5.0 uses the services API which has changed in DNN 7. It's a known issue that has been reported on CodePlex.

5.0.2 fixes several issues, but unfortunately DNN 7 compatibility is not one of them. Will has said that he's working on a release that will be compatible with 7.0 and that he hope to have it released next week.

The issue is related to the service framework changes in DNN 7.
