To Merv Harvey:

I saw the post at your site about you started from the very beginning - empty 7.1. Why did you so if you transferred activesocial?

Another question for all:

I do not think the active forums will be developed in the future. It looks like DNN Corp. will support only original DNN forum. So I came to the idea to transfer AF to VBullletin. I found the small company which specialized on integration different CMS, forums and chat and they are ready to help with it. But I believe the more clients they got the cheaper transfer we'll get. Also the cn integrate VBulleting and DNN or transfer DNN content to Joomla. I have the intention to go there if the price reasonable.

Anyone interested?

Regarding AF: there is a community team of developers, who took over further development of Active Forums and are currently working on fixes and improvements.
Development of DNN Forums module has been sunsetted a few years ago.

Hello, Sebastian.

The only problem for me I failed to transfer even AF. And there is no support. Better to say the support said to wait and dissapeared. One of my sites have 150000 of messages. I can not just erase because it will destroy the community. I even do not talk about  active social. But I must to keep forum messengers.  I wrote plenty to snowcovered (which also owned by DNN corp.) and I escalated the ticket many times. Now there is no reply from support, and there  were no any reaction from management of snowcovered. Can this team  you mentioned help to transfer active forum? I think it is rhetorical question. And that's why I have asked Merv why he gave up and started from the empty 7.1. I have never experienced such  situation when the big company bought the project just to destroy work of thousands of projects. I 've been waiting for 1,5 years as it was kindly advised at DNN store. I am amazed by such behavior.  Again I can not give up 150000 messages.
