When I'm looking at the Members page, everything is OK - for a member that has a photo, it shows and for members who don't I see the generic picture... profilepic.ashx?photoUrl=/images/no_avatar.gif&h=50&w=50" title="Name of Member"

If I click through and look at a member with picture, (profile page) the  picture is OK - <img width="160" height="160" src="/LinkClick.aspx?fileticket=X4SXodahog8%3d&amp;portalid=9" class="ProfilePhoto" alt="Profile Avatar">

However, if I click through on a member with no picture (profile page), I get a blank - <img class="ProfilePhoto" width="160" height="160" src="/icons/sigma/Spacer_1X1_Standard.png" alt="Profile Avatar">

Why doesn't it show the generic no_avatar.gif ???

I just figured it out...

The reason why there is no picture is because the css is missing. The img tag should have this css:

img {
    background: url("Images/noProfilePic.png") no-repeat scroll -1px -1px transparent;
    display: block;
    height: auto;
    margin: 0;
    padding: 0;
    width: 102px;
If the image has a src, it will show that image, if not, it will show this noprofile png as background image. Hope this helps.
