Hi all,

I just upgrade my DNN to the last version 7 but I have the error:

Description: The application attempted to perform an operation not allowed by the security policy.  To grant this application the required permission please contact your system administrator or change the application's trust level in the configuration file.

Exception Details: System.Security.SecurityException: Request for the permission of type 'System.Security.Permissions.SecurityPermission, mscorlib, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' failed.

Source Error:

An unhandled exception was generated during the execution of the current web request. Information regarding the origin and location of the exception can be identified using the exception stack trace below.

Stack Trace:

[SecurityException: Request for the permission of type 'System.Security.Permissions.SecurityPermission, mscorlib, Version=4.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b77a5c561934e089' failed.] Telerik.Web.UI.RadUploadHttpModule.CaptureWorkerRequest(Object sender, EventArgs e) +0 System.Web.SyncEventExecutionStep.System.Web.HttpApplication.IExecutionStep.Execute() +136 System.Web.HttpApplication.ExecuteStep(IExecutionStep step, Boolean& completedSynchronously) +69

You can see this in my web page: www.windowservers.es

I should use a Medium trust level because the hosting provider doesn't support the full trust level.
The app pool run on .NET 4 Integrate and has the "Load user Profile" to true.

Can you help me to solve this problem?

Thanks a lot.

I saw that same error on several localhost installations following upgrade of the installed ASP.Net framework to 4.5. As this is an in-place upgrade it will also affect sites running in an ASP.Net 4.0 application pool as is required by DNN 7. The issue was corrected by a new release of the Telerik.Web.UI.dll assembly which should have been automatically installed during the upgrade to DNN 7.

Check the site's /bin folder for the version of the Telerik.Web.UI.dll. It should be version 2012.3.1016.35 and the site's web.config should contain an upgraded binding redirect for this new version. I suspect that you will find the version to be 2.012.2.724.35 (or earlier). Did you notice any errors during the upgrade - in particular relating to insufficient file system permissions on the site's root installation folder or /bin child folder?

If you are not able to run the site in full trust temporarily and attempt (from the Host->Extensions page) a re-install of the Telerik_07.00.00_Install.zip package found in the upgrade package's Install\Module\ folder, you will need to manually extract the files from the zip, place the .dll file in the site's /bin folder and manually modify the binding redirect for this assembly in web.config. Ideally the version of this assembly's package should be updated to version 07.00.00 in the Library section of Host-->Extensions, Installed Extensions but I don't think this absolutely must be done.

There is also the possibility that you may find that there were other errors during the upgrade. If so, it would be best to restore the pre-DNN 7 site using your file system and database backups, figure out why the upgrade failed in this area and correct before re-attempting the upgrade to DNN 7.
