hello,

i am using DNN 07.00.00 and i want to translate the menu and the module title to hebrew language.

in 06.01.02 version i used Delisoft.DNN.Modules.DSLocalizator and it's works, but in DNN 07.00.00 it doesn't working.

do you know about a module that translate menu and module title in DNN 07.00.00 ?

thank you,

Adi,

any reason why you don't use the core content localization? There is a nice module by Sacha Trauwaen (http://dnncltools.codeplex.com/) to manage the translations.

Best wishes
Michael

Hello,

I am also interested in the module of Sacha. Look very promising, but so far, I did not find any documentation regarding the term:
* Detached
* Translated
* Ready to translate
* Correct errros (without update)

What does each of this button does (same question than the core, I know, but I did not find any explanation, I spent one day to try understanding... Very difficult for a newby)

Adi,

the core content localization creates one page per language, and you can give every page a translated name. The menu will then be shown in the current language - or, if you want to say it like this - "translated". There are some advantages in this approach, and some disadvantages.

An advantage is that you can use modules that are not language-aware, eg. the Text/HTML module. Just place one instance of the module on each page and write your text in the language of the page. There is also a way to use language-aware modules, so you can use the localization features of the module and edit the content on one page. Then there is something like un-detach or so, so you can place the same module on the other language pages. It is something like placing an existing module on the page. Sacha's module should be helpful for that, but I must confess that I did not dive deep enough into this matter yet.

There is also a module called Apollo PageLocalization that runs under DNN 7 in the meantime.

Best wishes
Michael
