I am trying to install DNN7 and working my way through the 4 part installation video.  I am setting up IIS and was able to create site (dnndev.me) and update the app pool.  When I do this my site and app pool have a red X, so right away I knew something was wrong.  When I try to configure the file folder permissions and include the iss apppool/dnndev.me it cannot find it. i went back in IIS and checked the authentication/authorization of the site and Authentication worked however Authorization is stating "Cannot verify access to path C:\websites\dnndev.me.  Can anyone help with this?  Thanks.

Thank you. this is all local to my machine.  The only thing configured in my hosts file is localhost...

yes...it originally was...i have since moved it to c:\inetpub\dnndev.me to try and fix the permissions issue since my default (wwwroot) website was here i was hoping the permissions would be fine there. i added permissions for IIS_IUSRS. i am still having the issue even in that location... when i try to bring up www.dnndev.me in ie it looks like it is defaulting to my localhost... as i was going through the installation video i was unable to set the permissions for IIS AppPool/dnndev.me on the DNN install folder...I researched and found that Windows 7 may have issue with me doing it through Windows so I tried icalcs through command line...that did not work either...
