I have two instances of DotNetNuke on a Windows Server 2012 (IIS 8), that has only .NET 4.5 installed. Both sites are running on 06.02.00 (1610). Up until 20 minutes ago, everything worked perfectly fine.

Then, I installed the current patches via Windows Update.

After the reboot, one instance still works fine, the other throws a server error:

Could not load file or assembly 'FiftyOne.Foundation' or one of its dependencies. The parameter is incorrect. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070057 (E_INVALIDARG))

I've tried commenting out the "include" of FiftyOne.Foundation.Mobile.Detection.DetectorModule - but then I just get a similar exception with another module.

Any ideas why this might be happening?

Good news: I found a "solution" - I copied over some of the DLLs from bin/Providers of the site that was working over to the site that was not working. And that did fix it. It's still weird how this could have happened (and I really wonder why this occurred exactly after applying the Windows update) ... but either way, I'm glad it's working now :-)
