Hi,

In the process of setting up a web farm, I'm trying to set up DNN (6.2) on an IIS server 7 that uses a DFS namespace share. However, when I use the DFS path \\domain\folder, the w3wp process has memory leaks (1GB+ and increasing) and the CPU usage is high. Page load is 10secs+. Using the resource monitor, I noticed that it keeps on re-compiling the dll, cshtml, ascx files in the Temporary ASP.NET Files directory. If I use the local drive, I noticed that this doesnt happen. I assume these files should be compiled on application pool start up and should only be re-compiled if they have been modified.

Has anyone experienced this issue, and is this how they have set up the DFS share. Or should we use the local drive and use DFS to replicate the folder between the IIS servers ?

Thanks

Are you using the professional or enterprise editions? Or just the community edition?

I'm currently using CE to see if it is workable with the FileBasedCachingProvider. At the moment it's not financially viable to upgrade to PE.
You've just highlight something so I've tried to isolate the problem by turning off the IsWebFarm config, so it's like a standard installation but using the DFS path. I'm still experiencing the same issue.

Thanks
