I got a hint from Erik on the DotNetNuke community at Google+ and read the code for the scheduled jobs comparing it against previous editions.

I think I have the same problem and would like to implement the fix but I am not able to find the "Scheduler" on the Host Menu.  Can someone help a novice and point me in a more specific direction?

Thanks,

Mike

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I am on DNN 7.0.0. Do I need to upgrade to 7.0.2 to find the Scheduler and implement the fix?

Mike,

Log in as host. Go to menu - Host - Schedule.  The task is called  Messaging Dispatch.

Richard

Thanks RIchard, but the only tasks that I have are:

Purge Users Online - ENABLED

Purge Site Log

Purge Schedule History- ENABLED

Purge Log Buffer

Send Log Notifications

Search Engine Scheduler- ENABLED

Purge Cache

Purge Module Cache- ENABLED

DNN Events- ENABLED

Send Forum Emails

Cleanup Forem Email History

Newsfeeds Background Loader- ENABLED

I understand that you deleted the existing Event (I have none) and then "I went into Scheduler, deleted the Message Dispatch job (after taking a screenshot to remeber the settings). Then I simply created a new Message Dispatch job pointing to the job type: DotNetNuke.Services.Social.Messaging.Scheduler.CoreMessagingScheduler, DotNetNuke"

Could you tell me the settings so that I can create the Dispatch Job?  For your convenience here are the fields:

Friendly Name:

Full Class Name and Assembly:

Schedule Enabled:

Time Lapse:

Retry Frequency:

Retain Schedule History:

Run on Event:

Catch up Enabled:

Object Dependencies:

Run on Servers:
