How can I install two instances of the same skin?   I have one skin/container we are currently using that has been modified and I want to use the original skin for another  site in the same portal.

I tried renaming the skin.zip file and the skin.dnn file to different name but I still cannot install it because it errors out.

At a minimum you will need edits inside the DNN file as well. See Joe Brinkmans tutorial on skin packaging.
