I have just installed DNN7 as a new install (but have used DNN since around 2005).  My hosting is with godaddy.  I have several domains, the hosting one pointed to root directory, and DNN installed to a \website directory (been this way for years).  In root there is a file to redirect to \website.

  • The other domains all point to the \website directory.
  • One other domain allows me to log in (but since I've chosen the darkknightmobile skin, I go to domain.com/website/Login.aspx)
  • Two other domains do not - I get /website/Login.aspx could not be found.
  • I tried adding an alias domain.com/website, and it doesn't do anything.  Sometimes gives me a message about already being added (thought it's not), but right now it doesn't give me that message, so I can't quote it directly.
    • in the past, I've always had the domain.com/website as an alias, or it wouldn't work.
    • Tried adding it to the PortalAlias table, but that doesn't seem to make any difference at all.
    •  The one website that works, has the domain.com/website alias, but the others can't be added through the UI for some reason.

If anyone can help me figure out why this is, I'd appreciate it greatly.

Resolved. I deleted the affected domains from DNN, and re-added them using the */website alias, and now they work.
