Since DNN is migrating to Active Forums, I thought I'd try using it with v6.2.05.  The old forums had a Forums.LatestPosts module but I can't find an equivalent for the Active Forums module.

I tried to use the Newsfeed module that works with v6.x (4.2.02) and pointing it to the rss feed link thats on the forums module but it  doesn't dependably load the feed for some reason. I only got it to load once and I've tried every setting I can think of.

I'm just looking for an aggregated list of the latest x number of posts.

I don't see one so I assume it's not included with AF and you may have to create a custom module to get this functionality.

The Active Forum "What's New" Module has been added back in the latest beta. It's undergoing testing now and should be released soon (just a few more issues to work out).

I would suggest asking any questions related to Active Forums 5.0 on the Active Forums project page on CodePlex:

if you use AF5 and upper you should add Journal module to first page and configure it

The problem with trying to use the Journal for this functionality is that the journal template can not be easily modified.

If you want to display the information in a minimal amount of space (a side bar for example), the "What's New" modules is a better tool for the job.
