Hi All,

I am a newbie to DNN and get stuck when using the URL Control. We know that it has three type of URL(Url,File,Page), is it possible to show only File option, not the URL & Page for my user? I've done some tweak in my code as below:

<dnn:UrlControl ID="vUrlPicker" runat="server" ShowTabs="false" UrlType="F" ShowTrack="false" ShowLog="false"/><br />

code behind:

vUrlPicker.FindControl("cboUrls").Visible = false;

It doesnt work in my case. Please can anybody kindly advise. Much appreciated your help.

Cheers,

You will also need to set the attribute

ShowUrls="false"

in the control's markup to remove the Url selection capabilities.

As you are intrested only in file selection (and upload?) I would suggest using one of the File Picker/Uploader controls rather than the UrlControl. These are server or composite contols (rather than .ascx usercontrols) and are found in the DotNetNuke.Web.UI.WebControls namespace:

DnnFilePicker
DnnFilePickerUploader
