In requirement of my project, client needs to allow users other than Administrator to Add New User. Is there any way to achieve so ?

Hi

Yes, its possible,

First login as SuperUser.
Admin -> UserAccounts

Here we can see all the members of the site.
Now we can see edit, delete, manage roles image buttons, against each member.
click manage roles.
Here we can set security roles as Administrator to a particular member...

Now when this new Admin member logs in.
It can follow the same path of Admin -> UserAccounts
Now the New Admin can find the Manage button on the left corner of the UserAccounts module.
Where there is a Add new user link.

Yes, this is true. What is the way to allow users other than Administrator role to do so. Like in our case, we have created custom role, Department Admin that also need to have rights to add new user.

Yes, this is true. How can I allow users other than Administrator role to add new user. In our case, we have custom role Department Administrator, that also need to have rights to add new user without requiring assigning it Administrator role.

Amit,

then this user is an admin, and as far as I understood it from Altaf Patel's post, this should not be (because then he/she cannot only add new users, but administer everything on the site).

I made a suggestion a while ago in the Community Voice - feel free to vote for it!
