I'm installing dnn 4.3.1 for the first time. I've installed 4.0.2 on several accounts on this shared provider with no problems.  The connection strings are ok and I've changed the objectqualifier to "dnn" as I normally do. However I've received the following message....

Error Installing DotNetNuke

EXECUTE permission denied on object 'dnn_GetDatabaseVersion', database 'fportal_data1', owner 'dbo'

Any ideas?

this looks like the database user does not have sufficient permissions for the database. did you add it to the dbowner role?

Please spank my bottom and delete this thread! I forget to specify the database owner in the SQLDefaultProvider section.

no, let's keep it, so others have the chance to find the solution, if they are faced with the same situation.
