Hey Peeps,

I need to access a certain control at runtime when a user registers. We have setup custom profile properties for a user to complete. These properties are all required, and the system has been configured to 'Require Valid Profile for Registration' and 'Require Valid Profile for Login'. The standard form displays at the top (Username, First Name, Last Name, etc...) and at the bottom it displays the Profile section with the rest of a users profile properties. Among these properties is a specific field that I need to access at runtime as soon as the user clicks the 'Register' button.

The reason for this is so that I can take the value from the field (whatever the user entered), then do a SQL query to verify that no such number exists and then continue with registration otherwise it must warn the user that the number entered already exists. How can I go about accessing these controls?

I look forward to your prompt response.
