Let me preface this question before someone offers a CSS or JS hack as a solution. I don't want a CSS hack or a JS hack as it 1) forces additional code to be transferred to the client both in the login module display code being rendered and as well the extra CSS or JS to hide the module code after, and 2) creates an unnecessary login loop which has no purpose existing once a member has logged in to our environment.

Now, on to the question:

Where is the setting... what is the process... or how do I... hide a login module that has been placed on a page within our site after a user has logged in?

I have looked into the permissions-based settings of the module. I have looked into the configurations of the site.

I cannot seem to fathom why there isn't an option to hide this after a user has logged in.

Set the module permissions to "Unauthenticated Users" only. That way it's only visible to people who haven't logged in. After logging in, you won't see it unless you're an admin. You may have to uncheck the box for "inherit permissions" in module settings.
