Hello.

I recently updated from DNN 5  to 7.

I have a problem with the rich text editor. When using the "Insert/Edit LInk" button, the popup. Does start "Behind" the "Edidt Content" window, and it is grayed out. So I can not use ut.

My rich text editor has  "Windows XP" style. The one i use for writing this post on DDN site, works fine, and looks "newer"

The problem is better illustrted with a picture:
Clicking the link button:

Nothing pops up, but  moving the "Edit Contet" box reveals the link options (But it is grayed out/disabbled, I am not able to use any dropdown or tabs)

 

I have updated all extentions that are marked as used. 

So, any tips on how to fix this?

If you go to HOST > ADVANCED > HTML EDITOR MANAGER what is your default provider? If there is more than 1 try changing the provider and see if that makes a difference. 

Also, if you click on "Everyone" just below that you should see a "Skin" section where you can update the look and feel of the editor.

You can find good information on the RAD Editor in the Wiki here on the site as well.

Hi.

I am actually the poster of this thread. I lost Lost the login.

I HAD 3 HTML editors listed. I tried to change and save settings many times.
(Yest I clicked Default -> everyone update and change.)
Tried every thinkable cobination and sequence :)

It just went back to "FckHtmlEditorProvider".
It looked like the settings never was saved.
FYI. I also had "TelerikEditorProvider" installed.


So i removed both "FckHtmlEditorProvider" and "TelerikEditorProvider" from webconfig and set RadEditor as default.







That helped.
Now I have a new ritch text editor.

However. I can not insert media.
I click:

Select one of thise,(all fails)

Then i get this error:
