Hi

I have some problem with runnung dnn in visual studio. I have install DotNetNuke_Community_07.00.03_Install on my server. The installation went with no problem. After that, I copy the new source code from my server to my local computer an I open it with visual studio.

When I start Debugging in visual studio I get this error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" on Default.aspx.cs on line 298. Its because the object PortalSettings is null.

my environnement : Visual studio 2010 premium .. Windows 7 enterprise 64-bit french ... SQLServer 2008 R2.

I have no problem with the version DotNetNuke_Community_06.02.06_Install ... I only get this error with version 7.

anybody have a solution ?????

thanks

I found a solution to this problem.

Open a dnn 6 web.config, check in the section <system.web> and copy all the section of <httpModules> and <httpHandlers>. Paste this in the section <system.web> of your dnn 7 web.config.

No more PortalSettings to null.
