I followed your instructions but I do not think it helped me. I took it one step further and added the IP addresses of my workstation VLAN in the hopes that it would have a direct effect and give the code something to pass on. This did not work either.

I am also finding different behaviors with different versions of IE. This past weekend I was testing remotely through and older terminal server, IE8. In this case, which is still the case, I get this URL when going to my site..

https://portal.mtysite.com/Account/Lo...

If I clear out everything from /Account... and hit enter (or hit home on the browser), the page loads in a very incomplete way. It lacks a lot of formatting and some images do not apear. Refreshing the page loads a non-logged in version of the site with only a couple of my tabs showing. This is the same behavior as previously reported.

From IE9 which is standard on my workstations, I get the same behavior with the URL but if I hit the root site address (or hit home), the page loads fine and logs in the user.

From IE10, I seem to have no problem at all. I just logged into my Win8 workstation at the office and the page loads and logs me in with no probblem. I cannot seem to break this to reproduce the problem in IE10 but I will keep trying ;-).

Further work on this would be appreciated. If I can help in any way, perhaps allowing you to peek at my site, let me know.

Thanks,

Mike

I would like to add to my previous comment after additional testing with IE10.

It turns out I was wrong about it working in IE10. To force a scenario, I clicked logoff on the site. This caused the browser to act just like my IE9 experience outlined in my previous post. Access to the site brings me to the wrong logon URL, hiiting the root address loads a non-logged in page. Clearing cache and cookies has no effect. I have a non-logged in site which I now need to manually log into.

Mike, in your situation I'm not sure if it's not the https that's causing the problem. I don't have a security certificate that I can use to test with but I just did some reading and I may be able to create a self-signed one.

That said, did everything work fine under https before you added the AD provider?

Also, Mike, I just noticed you're using the pro version of the provider. As far as I know that version is the same as the community edition just converted from visual basic to C# code behind by the DotNetNuke engineers but I can't guarantee that as I don't have access to their source code. In other words, I don't have any idea what other changes they may have made to the code so if you haven't entered a support call then I'd suggest you do so.

Yes, everything worked fine in the past but I jumped from DNN 6.03 / AD Provider 5.02 to DNN7 / DNNPro AD provider 5.0.4. that came with DNN 7.0.4. This changed me from Classic pipline .NET 2.0 to Integrated pipeline .NET 4.0.

I welcome a TeamViewer session to my server if it will help you overcome the need for gettign a certificate yourself. Also, DNN support just reached out to me and will take a look through a remote session.

Thanks,

Mike
