Hi Folks;

I just installed the latest stable "Active Forums" package, and successfully added the main module to a page, configured it, and tested its functions with different users. It works great!

Then I tried to add the "What's new" module to a different page, but nothing happened. So I uninstalled both modules and reinstalled them. I set up the main "Active Forum" page as before and tested it successfully, but when I tried to add the "What's New" module, it was the same problem. The event viewer gives the following error:

Any ideas?

Thanks so much for helping!

Hi Rigel,

A couple of suggestions.

1) Try doing a repair install. That seems to fix many issues like this.

2) If you have problems/questions related to Active Forums, I highly recommend that you post them on the AF project page at CodePlex: http://activeforums.codeplex.com

There are a few of us that monitor the AF project there.

It was only by chance that I happened to see your question here.

I met the same problems.

It is open source. But when you use it,  you will find there are alway some problems.

Thanks for the suggestion. I put this issue aside for the time being, since I've been working to get the site ready for some user testing.

 You might want to consider the DNN YAF module. Superior in many ways vs AF, journal hooks aside.
