I can't make the Email field do a "mailto" function. Currently, if you click on the email address (which has a hyperlink), it just refreshes the page I'm on. I don't know how to fix the hyperlink setting; I'm not a coder! I tried a few things, none of which worked.

Here is the email code as it is currently:  <li class="mdEmail"><a href="#"><span data-bind="text: Email"></span></a></li>

LtTawynMadison,

You should be able to do this fairly easily with the hyperlink manager. I've cut a quick video to walk through this process.

Create an email hyperlink video

Hope this helps.

And I didn't read it completely... you said in the Member Directory... sorry about that. Try this code snippet

<li class="mdComposeMessage"><a href="" class="ComposeMessage"><span data-bind="text: SendMessageText"></span></a></li>

Thanks! That does work, but the problem is that the company doesn't want to use the Social Group functionality of Friends, Follow, or Messages. So I want the link to just be a mailto: that will open a new message window in Outlook. Is that possible?

I tried modifying the code shown on this page, but I couldn't make it work right. http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Blogs/EntryId/3392/Adding-a-website-link-to-the-Member-Profile-and-Directory-in-DotNetNuke-6-2.aspx

Incidentally... it would be wonderful if there were some kind of user-friendly interface to set up the Member Directory fields, instead of having to mess with the template code as the only option for setting it up.
