Just in case this helps somebody else in the future...

The information in this thread was good, but I still had problems.

The problem I had may have been specific due to the hosting company that I am using.  www.mochahost.com

I confirmed the email address was the same in the "Host Settings > Advanced Settings > SMTP Server Settings" and "Admin > SMTP Server"

I was forced to use a static IP address for the SMTP server (supplied by my hosting company) and their specific requirement of the 2525 port. The SMTP Enable SMTP had to be disabled.

-----------------------

My website is www.testcardatabase.com and I have email hosting with the domain (myname@testcardatabase.com)

I'm using DNN 7.0.2

Settings

----------------------

SMTP Server and Port = 203.95.224.24:2525

SMTP Authentication = Basic

SMTP Enable SSL = OFF (BOX NOT CHECKED)

SMTP Username = my email address (for example: myname@testcardatabase.com)

SMTP Password = password to access email address (for the example email address myname@testcardatabase.com)

I hope this helps someone,

Tony Huntimer
