Hey guys, I am having a problem figuring out how and even if its possible to hide page buttons at the top of screen but have users still be able to access those pages.

I am working on a site with 10 user roles with a page set for each role as a their hub. The roles are hierarchical and upper roles need access to lower roles' pages. With the way its set up now, the highest privilege role still displays 10 buttons for all roles at the top of the screen and looks very cluttered. So I am wondering if I can hide those role buttons from the top menu but have the upper roles still be able to access the pages.

Hi

In order to hide menu from top menu, you need to make IsVisible propery of Tabs table False. Which is displayed in "Page Settings' page as Include In Menu? .

Thanks

Hi,

you can do this in the permissions section of the page. Create a group (role), and assign the users who should be able to see the page to this role. Then leave the "Include in menu?" Option checked, uncheck the View permissions for "All users" and check them only for this role. After a user logged in he will see this menu item.

The roles cannot be defined hierarchically, so you either have to assign the "highest level" user to all roles, or assign the View permissions for the "lowest level" for all roles on the page.

Best wishes
Michael
