I'm completely confused.  I want to install DDN on a remote web server (Host Gator).  I have a Windows based hosting account.  In most cases like, Joomla or Wordpress, I can upload the files and run a config to setup the site.  All of the instructions I've found seem to be for setting up DNN on a local machine.  Could someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks Jarrod

Unzip the contents to your folder and attempt to hit the home page and it should start the install wizard.

Thanks for the responses. I found out that ASP support was not turned on. After switching it on I now get the following error:

Runtime Error

Description: An application error occurred on the server. The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine.

Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please create a tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off".

Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL.

I'm assuming I need to contact my web host about this?

Thanks
