Hello,

Can anyone help me please? I have had a good look around and cannot seem to find a fix to my problem...

I have a very old installation of DNN 4.09 that has suddenly developed a problem.

Nobody has access to Host or the underlying database but for some reason it is not allowing pages to be added giving the following error:

Error: Page Management is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Parameter count does not match Parameter Value count. ---> System.ArgumentException: Parameter count does not match Parameter Value count. at Microsoft.ApplicationBlocks.Data.SqlHelper.AssignParameterValues(SqlParameter[] commandParameters, Object[] parameterValues) at Microsoft.ApplicationBlocks.Data.SqlHelper.ExecuteScalar(String connectionString, String spName, Object[] parameterValues) at DotNetNuke.Data.SqlDataProvider.AddTab(Int32 PortalId, String TabName, Boolean IsVisible, Boolean DisableLink, Int32 ParentId, String IconFile, String Title, String Description, String KeyWords, String Url, String SkinSrc, String ContainerSrc, String TabPath, DateTime StartDate, DateTime EndDate, Int32 RefreshInterval, String PageHeadText, Boolean IsSecure) at DotNetNuke.Entities.Tabs.TabController.AddTab(TabInfo objTab, Boolean AddAllTabsModules) at DotNetNuke.Entities.Tabs.TabController.AddTab(TabInfo objTab) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Tabs.ManageTabs.SaveTabData(String strAction) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Admin.Tabs.ManageTabs.cmdUpdate_Click(Object Sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Unfortunately, I have no idea when this problem started to occur and have been unable to fix it.

Can anyone help please?

Many thanks!

many thanks for the quick reply! much aprreciated!

I am not aware of any pages with special characters in them.

the page i have been trying to add as a test was simply called "Test" - no special characters....

is there a table i can run a script against to see if there are any naughty characters in a page name?

still stuck on this so any help would be very much appreciated.

I have tried to do some more investigations myself.

The problem is being seen when I try and call the AddTab stored procedure. Which appears to add information into the Tabs table... fair enough...

I had a quick look at the Tabs table to see if i could see when the last page was successfully added. I couldn't seem to link to a date so i did a select all with TabID desc.

What jumps out at me is that the last 2 pages added to the tabs table are showing as Dashboard and What's New - with a portalID of null.

The only other pages with a portalid of null are the host pages which all seem to have been created when the portal was first installed!

Wondering what could have caused this and does it possibly indicate what might have gone wrong?

It's almost as if DNN has tried to reinstall itself?

Please help - got customers screaming at me :)
