I see a facebook integration setting in the new module beta release.  I am curious how this is to work.  Does it take events from facebook or does it load them into facebook events?

I would like to see it go both ways however I really want people who put an event on my site portal to have that event posted to its facebook page.

Is this possible?

Hi Cody,

The integration has been available for some time but it doesn't do what you are looking for, it doesn't make events available on FB. It inserts some meta tags on event pages that can be consumed by FB applets embedded on an event.

There used to be an FB app that would take the iCal feed the module produces and import it in to FB, but it isn't supported any more. I don't think there is anything out there that does it. If you find something that does, please let me know because I need it as well.

I'd love to be able to build it myself, but I don't know the FB apis, and I don't have enough time in my life :-(

If you create something you can be sure I will provide support if feasible.

I may have a solution. Create an Iframe that can be used on a page that displays the event calendar, and use this instead of the FB calendar.

We would need a "Canvas Url" I believe if I am understanding the FB Developer area correctly.

So we need to create an "App on Facebook" to display this
