So I upgraded from version 5.6 to 6.2.5 with no problem.

Created a new portal with no problem.

But when I try to change the admin setting such as assign a skin or add a logo I get an error. However, everything seems to run ok with the latest changes applied.

This is the error being recorded in the event log. Any help to resolve it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

May you try to change back to the default skin? Do this after a backup of the site (both the DB and application directories in IIS). You may also want to do this after hours if the site is a production site.
