DNN Version: 04.09.03

Issue:
Inadvertently inserted a rather long javascript into the "Page Header Tags" which got truncated upon initial save, thus "breaking" the javascript for the page, as well as breaking the post command scripts for page management.
Now, whenever trying to update page settings for this particular page, nothing happens as the javascript command being sent to the server is truncated. This happens to be the home page of the site.
Modules in page view can be updated only after they had been duplicated to a blind page for such actions.

We have no direct server access, no database access. Only admin access via the admin portal.
Unfortunately, we are migrating to a cloud solution for this site and DNN will not be used any further after that.

What I've tried:
1. reapplying/updating site templates - no result as the broken javascript is part of the individual page header
2. deleting offending page - this is the home page and won't let me as I cannot even change the page name
3. created a duplicate home page - server doesn't recognize the new tabid as the home page, even after a reboot

Any advice on how to remedy this would be greatly appreciated.

For #3, you are changing the default home page under Admin > Advanced Settings > Home Page? I'm not sure how DNN wouldn't recognize a new page that you have created.

Can you access the HOST tab - and if so - can you access the SQL tab.

If so then the simplest bet would be to just wipe the header script you put into the page

=============================

UPDATE dbo.Tabs
SET PageHeadText = ' '
WHERE TabId = 000000

==============================

where 000000 should be replaced with the tabid of the page you are having issues with.
