Hello, I'm writing my first DNN module using DNN 7.0.2. First I uploaded the module basically empty. Then I added a lot of code using third party modules from DevExpress. Most of the code came from an DNN 6 module from my company that was working. After compiling the code I took a shot and ran it. First I got an error regarding not being able to debug because IIS did not have a web site with the name of my start URL. I fixed this by running VS 2012 as Administrator.

Now when the site starts I simply get a message DotNetNuke Error. There is also a link return to site which simply repeats the error. I would like remove the module but I can't get in the site to do so. Is there anything I can do short of reinstalling DNN? Is there anyway to find more detailed error information so I know what actually went wrong?

I also have a question about how to get third party DLLs such as DevExpress into the package used to install DNN.

Thanks,

Jim

hello  Jim

you can delete installation files from  folder in desktop-module\your-solution-name

you can create an GAC assembly  to get all dlls in single assembly which can be used to install all dlls just like running a setup .

thanks

You should set up a test DNN website and install your modules there first.
