i am trying to a menu item submenu from different source. the source is a json object or a dataset from webservice. how can i do that?

Are you trying to add this into an dnnmenu -  about the only way you could achieve this would be to use the Razor host menu provider solution and write your own code to pull in the menu and do the injection.

But it would not necessarily be a simple task.

yes thats the dnn menu, what is the file/web control that allows to create the dnn menu? I am thinking to add some logic to it so when i type the menu name, for example "Advisors" it would add the childs from the webservice. I am not familiar at all with razor so that would require time to learn it.

i was able to accomplish what i needed using jquery Ajax and i applied the script to the default page. Is this a good approach?
