Why yes Richard, I did READ the error message.

I first put in a support ticket with my web server provider as it seems that the installation did not complete with out issue.

Usually there are many bugs that come with freeware. Most of the time someone else has had the same issue and is able to relate what they did to fix or work around the problem.

Covering all my bases.

Best wishes to you and have a better day!

My apologies then.

You've asked a very open question. Your original question is unanswerable. How can I know if you need other settings? As a reader I know nothing of what, if anything, you have done. It makes you look like a loser who's done no research at all.

Eric Raymond has an interesting resource on how to ask questions that are likely to get useful answers. http://www.catb.org/esr/faqs/smart-qu...

Richard,
If you have nothing productive to say don't respond to my post. You clearly have no IT support experience and are just an ass.
Have a nice day!

Hi Christa

Try this:

  • Navigate to Host > Host Settings.
  • At Advanced Settings, click the Maximize  button.
  • At SMTP Server Settings, click the Maximize  button.
  • In the SMTP Server field, enter the SMTP address of the server. E.g. mail.yourdomain.com (replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain name)
  • At SMTP Authentication, select from the following options:
    • Anonymous  (This is the default option)
    • Basic (You should choose "Basic")
    • NTLM (Do not choose)
  • In the SMTP Username field, enter a SMTP Username. (email-address@yourdomain.com (replace yourdomain.com with your actual domain name))
  • In the SMTP Password field, enter a SMTP Password. (your email password)
  • Click Update.

NOTE: Make sure that email address in Host \Basic Settings\Host Details is the same email address as you entered in SMTP server email address above.

I hope this will help.

Christa,

I am trying to help you. In evaluating that statement consider whether your current approach has got you a useful answer.

Then stop. Loose your overdeveloped sense of entitlement, and remember that the folks around here are giving you their time for free and right now you look like an ungrateful loser who is not worth helping.

Remind yourself that you have not even told us what 'Contact mod' is. Then tell us what you did, what happened and how that was different to what you expected or wanted.

Best wishes,
- Richard
