Are you looking at BOTH in IE8 compatibility node (or non-compatibility mode). I saw them behave differently.

Hi Richard

I saw the problem using www.browserstack.com with windows 7, Internet Explorer 8 and windows xp, Internet Explorer 8 in both normal and compatability mode, although it's only relevant with normal mode. The logo was gone with all of them, and firebug displayed the HTML as though the image tag was simply not there.

Since I was using a trial account, I can't verify any changes right away, but my client from Germany would be able to verify if anything happened on a change (although i would not want to involve them with anything other than a "this problem is now fixed").

Kind Regards
Rune

Hi Rune,

You have an issue with the line #dnnheader .logo IMG {width:265px}

Remove the width and your logo shows up again. Will be the old IE 'padding border margin multiplication' issue.

Hi Anna

I think you hit the nail almost on the head. I received a helpful answer from a skindeveloper friend of mine from DNNGo telling me to add the line:
#dnnheader .logo img{max-width:none;}
and that actually fixed the problem.

I'm not sure if this is about width or max-width, but the problem is solved and I'm happy :)

Thanks for all the input

Kind Regards
Rune

Are you sure your logo shows up in Admin > Site Settings > Appearance?
My logo was showing in FF & Chrome, but not IE. So I logged into Admin and set it again under the Appearance tab. Worked for me.
