HELP!

I have a type that contains an nested type as such:

Class MyType

   Prop1 as integer
   Prop2 as string
   Stamp as Audit

end Class

Class Audit

   CreateDate as datetime
   UpdateDate as datetime
   UpdatedBy as string

end class

The database has the following fields:

Prop1
Prop2
CreateDate
UpdateDate
UpdatedBy

Here's the problem:

The dataprovider loads the Prop1 and Prop2 fields, but not any of the "audit" fields.

How do I do this?

You should rewrite in property of Audit. Example:

Public Property Audit() As AuditNamespace.Audit

Get

Dim objAuditController As New AuditController

_Membership = objAuditController.FillAudit(Me)

Return _Membership

End Get

Set(ByVal Value As AuditNamespace.Audit)

_Membership = Value

End Set

End Property

and create a  AuditController class which have FillAudit method to get data from database (which can throught DataProvider).

Please refer to the explanation of the database. The audit fields are on the same record as the other properties, so I wouldn't want to have to do another database access to the same record.
