Forgive this question, I had a very hard time getting any results using the search feature on the forum. I have two DNN sites that have gone down and are displaying this message :

Please note that this website is temporarily unavailable while we perform some maintenance on the sites.
Please check back later, and thanks for visiting!
We apologize for any inconvenience

What is causing this? connection string issue possibly ?

Check to see if you have a file called app_offline.htm in the root of your website. If so, rename it to something else.

If not, you're likely running into a SQL connection issue, try going to http://MYWEBSITE/install/install.aspx and see if you get an error message.
