Is it possible to exclude the logo image from a specific page or have a different one for internal pages?

There is not a way by design.  You Need a own skinobject for this.  Or you can create a internal Skin with hardcoded logo.

Another alternative. A skin is just a Usercontrol. You can have conditional logic in the skin that chooses what logo to display, or not display.

Yes its possible.. create skin files and customize them to your need.
