I started with DotNetNuke 5.4.2 and Events 4.0.2

I upgraded to DotNetNuke 7.0.5.  After the upgrade, events are not showing on the calendar.

I upgraded to Events 6.0.4.  Still events are not displaying.  They are in the Events table.

What might I have missed?

Hi Joe,

That is a major change, it certainly passes through two fundamental updates. Can you mail me at webmaster @ the domain in my profile. I'll look for host access so I can get in and fix whatever is broken.

One thing you can look at is to see if there is an option to restart the upgrade in the module settings.

Also when you did the events module upgrade were there any errors reported. I.e. did you scroll down the log provided during the upgrade to ensure there were no errors?

Cheers
Roger

Roger,

It turns out that I really didn't succeed in upgrading the module.  Even upgrading to Events 5.0.1 throws a ton of SQL errors.

I'm guessing that the best approach will be to upgrade Events before upgrading DotNetNuke.  Given that I'm at DNN 5.4.2 in the original site, it looks like I should be able to upgrade to Events 5.1.5 before needing to upgrade DotNetNuke.  So, I guess the real question is:  can you suggest an upgrade path for me?

I really appreciate your offer to hop in.  I'm actually "rehearsing" to do an upgrade to a live site that has lots of user contributed content, so we will need to do the upgrade on the live site and minimize down time when we are ready.  So, doing a successfule upgrade without a lot of patching is what we are trying to figure out.

Any and all advice is greatly appreciated!

(And, yes, I was quite surprised that the DNN upgrade from 5.4.2 to 7.0.5 could be done without any DNN errors in one step.  Guess I got a bit bold!)

You can see minimum versions listed here - https://dnnevents.codeplex.com/docume...

I would recommend an upgrade to Events 5.0.3 as a first step. If that doesn't work, let me know. Tat is the most complex upgrade.
