Hey everyone, I want to simply use a .swf video inside of a Media module but I get a blank module window.

 Let me rewind a little, I should start of by stating that I have no prior experience uploading flash videos whatsoever. Here is  what I have done: 1) Converted the video to .swf and uploaded it to the site. 2) Chose the video's name in the Media module 3) Set the width and height for the player 4) Checked the auto start and loop check boxes.

According to the DNN guide, this should do the trick, however, I cannot see the video. Not even the flash player window(can't see the infamous Play button) I have read that I may need to insert the HTML code somewhere; but I am using a vid that's hosted on the same website...

Please help a lost goose :)

Hi
in code you can do like this. I can remember i have done this.
-pass parameter name value pair to an html .
-Embeed the swf file with the vid information to the html .

I've tried using the HTML module and the flash manager it comes with to no avail as well. When I right click I get a message "Video not loaded".

Really confused!

Hi,
Try DigFlash, it's free.  Also use the Network tab in Chrome Debugger to see if you .swf is trying to reference external files.
