So, I've plagued these forums the last couple of days, but here I go again. I've recently taken over a website using DNN 4.08. No one seems to know or have documentation of what the host account password is. (I didn't even know there was a host account until yesterday)

First question: the host account listed in my user accounts has the name "hostmycompany" (obviously with that last part different). Does it matter that it's not just plain "host"? (I was to make sure that that's actually the host account). 

Second question: When I try to click into the host account with my account (which has admin privileges) so I can edit it, I get a "this user account doesn't exist" error. I'd understand if I don't have the privileges to edit the account, but it doesn't exist?

Third question: How can I recover the password of the host account? I found this: http://twentytech.net/dotnetnuke/reco... But a couple of things have me confused, like, which folder is the root of the install and how do I open the file once I've uploaded it there.

First of all I want to know that if you have access to database, if yes  then  follow this setps

1         go to your dotnetnuke database

2         search for  users table in database

3         in user table  check that  against your user name  value of “ IsSuperUser “ . if it is  then you are a super user  and  it is 0 then update it to 1 then you will have host previlllage

Alternate you can create a  user  and update is as super user using above  process
