I just upgraded a site from 6.02.02 to 7.00.06, and I'm running into an issue where going to http://www.example.com opens up the login page instead of the home page.  You can click "Home" on the navigation bar without logging in and it takes you there just fine, so it's probably not a permissions issue. There's just something there directing you to the login page when you first open the site for some reason.

I don't know if it's helpful, but that doesn't happen if you go to the local machine and just do http://localhost.  It takes you to the "Getting Started" portal normally.  If you're on the local machine and go to http://www.example.com, it still takes you to the login page.

 Any ideas?

So, I did some tinkering and got closer to the issue...

Turns out the guy that actually handles the content for the website had created a page named "------------------------------" purely as a visual separator in the list of pages when he was in the admin screen.  It had no content or permissions.  For whatever reason, THAT was the page that the browser was trying to access when going to www.example.com, even though the "Home Page" under the site settings was set to the page named "Home."  I set up a permanent redirect in the "--------------------" site just to get around the issue, but that still doesn't explain why it's trying to open that page instead of Home.

please make sure, permissions for the splash page or home page include all users (or unauthenticated users).
